To combat manmade climate change: Each neighborhood should be a town

In a previous thread we talked about how we needed to accept some foods are out of season. Along with that thread we talked about grow local and eat local. This brings up another topic that perhaps each neighborhood should be its own town.

So what would define a town? Each neighborhood would have its own post office, grocery store(s), and a government extension office. All of this would be within walking distance, biking, or a very short drive.

Just imagine having a post office, court, drivers license office in each neighborhood. The big question, who is going to pay for all of this? Maybe we could print money out of tin air like we did to bail out the banks in 2008?

Great idea. Do you think it could really work?
No it would not work simply because people are lazy and spoiled. People fight over popeyes being out chicken, what will they do when the grocery store is out of certain food? Do we think people are willing to grow some of their own food? Of course not.

We can not even get people off welfare, how can we expect them to do something about climate change?

The climate chang folks are ignorant. The climate changes every day, will continue to change every day, because that's what the PLANET is supposed to do. Climate has changed since the first day Earth was even conceived and formed. Like when everyone flipped out over polar vortexes. Yeah, it was cold because it was fucking WINTER!!!! And if the climate propogandists didnt take that and run an ignorant mile with it...

It is for bigger government(eventually globalist government) and a Carbon tax. A way to redistribute wealth and very bad news for America.

While I believe the climate crisis is overblown, I also feel humans should make more of an effort to improve the planet. Nothing good can come from dumping millions of tons of plastic every year.

Humanity as a whole should consider our place in the world. We should not be building mountains of trash for future generations.

We are not the culprits when it comes to plastic. We cannot tear down our economy for a pipe dream of saving humanity.
